This object aims to provide a device with an electronic mail function that can smoothly carry out a screen transition operation in the electronic mail function. When a user confirms detailed contents of an electronic mail, the user selects a desired mail title from a mailing list and rotates a jog dial (7) downward. When a display control unit (110) judges that the jog dial (7) is rotated downward, the display control unit adds an electronic mail detail region (R3) to an information display region (R1) to display the contents of an electronic mail on this region. When the display control unit (110) then judges that the jog dial (7) is rotated downward, the display control unit reconstructs a display region to allocate a receiving screen region (R4) and a reply mail screen region (R5) to the information display region (R1). The display control unit makes the receiving screen region (R4) display a receiving mail text and the reply mail screen region (R5) display a reply mail text.
