摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet recording material excellent particularly in fold crack resistance, surface strength, image quality, ink absorptivity and image clarity of a pigment ink printing part. <P>SOLUTION: The ink-jet recording material has an ink accepting layer, which includes an inorganic fine particle having &le;500 nm average secondary particle size and a hydrophilic binder, on a support. The ink accepting layer further includes the alumina or alumina hydrate, which has an acicular structure of &le;30 nm minor axis diameter and 5-100 aspect ratio being represented by (major axis diameter)/(minor axis diameter), when the longest diameter of a primary particle is defined as the major axis diameter and the longest diameter of the diameters perpendicular to the major axis diameter is defined as the minor axis diameter, and which has &le;500 nm average secondary particle size.
