<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display which suppresses curling of polarizing plates, and whose productivity is improved. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display includes first and second glass substrates 10, 11 arranged by holding a liquid crystal layer in-between, and the polarizing plates 20A, 20B attached to the first and second glass substrates. The polarizing plates 20A, 20B have two-layered structures consisting of polarizing films and transparent films.
