<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a threadedly-engaging plastic cap having threads for engagement with a container mouth wall on an inner surface of a skirt-like sidewall thereof, which has increased washability and reliably prevents liquid content from being deposited and remaining on an outer surface of the container mouth wall. <P>SOLUTION: In the skirt-like sidewall 3 of the cap, a plurality of circumferentially extending, cleaning slits 20 are formed at a spaced interval in the circumferential direction at a part located above the threads 11 threadedly engaging with a container mouth wall 50.
