<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of a termination series required for LDPC-CC (Low-Density Parity-Check Convolutional Codes) encoding and decoding, and to perform error correction encoding and decoding, while suppressing deterioration in transmission efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: A weight control section 470 stores a weight pattern 475 conforming to an LDPC-CC check matrix 100, and a weight pattern 476 conforming to a check matrix 300 where the shape of the LDPC-CC check matrix 100 is changed. The weight control section uses the weight patten 475 and the weight pattern 476 for setting a weight value multiplied by a check bit v<SB>2, t</SB>to 0, when an input bit is an information series and a termination series, respectively, thus controlling a weight for multiplying outputs of a plurality of shift registers 410-1 to 410-M, 430-1 to 430-M. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
