<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize ASPM (active state power management) without affecting the transfer of image data from an image reading part in an image processor using a PCI Express as an interface between devices. <P>SOLUTION: When a start button of an operation panel 101 is pressed, a CPU 100 sets the entry of LOs/L1 of a control bit of ASPM of a link control register as "disable" by performing configuration right access to configuration registers 109a-112a in PCIe interface circuits 109-112. Even when an idle cycle of 7μsec or longer occurs on the PIEe 107, image data from a scanner 102 can be normally stored in a memory 105 because of no transition to the LOs/L1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
