<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the manufacturing costs for hammer drills and complication of the manufacture. <P>SOLUTION: A handle assembly for a power tool is equipped with a handle for a user to grip, a mount part for removably mounting the assembly on a housing of a power tool, a fastening mechanism to fasten and/or loosen the mount part on the housing of the power tool, and at least one first vibration damping member formed so that it is positioned between the handle and the fastening mechanism in order to damp the vibrations transmitted from the fastening mechanism to the handle.
