PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition which is chemically as inactive as possible, and particularly inactive to a pharmaceutically active substance. SOLUTION: The pressure-sensitive adhesive is one for medical use based on an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, and includes a polymer component (A): an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer or a combination of at least two ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers and a component (B): an adhesive resin or a combination of adhesive resins which has a content of up to 55 wt% relative to the sum of the component (A) and the component (B), free from an active substance or an adjunct.
