PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a microcapsule which suppresses the solidification due to the reaction progress of a polymerizable substance for forming the capsule wall during emulsification to produce a microcapsule with an excellent productivity using the interfacial polymerization process. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the microcapsule is characterized by including: the step of preparing a first emulsion by emulsifying an oil phase at least containing a core substance in a water phase; the step of preparing a second emulsion by emulsifying an oil phase at least containing the polymerizable substance for forming the capsule wall in a water phase; the step of preparing a mixed emulsion by mixing the first emulsion and the second emulsion; and the step of forming the capsule wall by conducting the interfacial polymerization of the polymerizable substance at the interface of the oil phase and the water phase in the mixed emulsion.
