PHASE SHIFTER AND ANTENNA INCLUDING PHASE SHIFTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an antenna performance improved with respect to phase shifter.

SOLUTION: A phase shifter includes two or more conductive strips, an input line 31 and a wiper 33 coupled to both the input line 31 and the conductive strips. Rotation of the wiper 33 about a pivot point alters the path lengths between the input line 31 and antenna elements connected to an output line or the conductive strips. The wiper 33 is a multi-bladed wiper. Phase errors in multi-bladed wiper-type phase shifters are reduced. Arrangements for reduction of phase shifter size or increase in phase shift range is achieved.
