DIAGNOSTIC METHOD FOR GASTRIC CANCER USING APOLIPOPROTEIN CIII0 CONCENTRATION IN BLOOD AS INDEX

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnostic method of gastric cancer which enables accurate detection of gastric cancer, at an early stage. SOLUTION: The disclosed method is used to detect gastric cancer in a mammal, and includes the steps of: (a) measuring an apolipoprotein CIII0concentration in a subject's blood sample obtained from the mammal; and (b) comparing the concentration measured in the step (a) with an apolipoprotein CIII0concentration in a normal control blood sample. In the method, the mammal is determined to have gastric cancer, when the apolipoprotein CIII0concentration in the subject's blood sample is lower than that of the normal control blood sample.
