PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting diode (LED) illumination system for plant cultivation which enables instantaneous setup of a plurality of illuminators (strong or weak of light, on-off interval time and the like) using a prescribed data transmission/connection method, and shortening and standardization of connection cables to contribute environmental beautification of equipment. SOLUTION: The light emitting diode illumination system for plant cultivation is structured as follows: connecting a master illuminator to a first slave illuminator via a first signal crossover wiring, connecting the first slave illuminator to the second slave illuminator via a second signal crossover wiring, and connecting an (n-1)th slave illuminator to an (n)th slave illuminator via an (n)th signal crossover wiring. In the system, commands comprising control contents by an operating piece of the master illuminator are transferred to each of the slave illuminators, and the slave illuminators respectively control LED in accordance with the commands.
