PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which shortens a time for a blanket unit to receive a load, and thereby prevents the blanket unit from becoming distorted. SOLUTION: This printer has: a frame 55; a printing plate platen 56 on which the printer 61 is loaded; and the blanket unit 40 which is arranged above the frame 55, has a blanket cylinder 41 and a blanket 42 wound around the blanket cylinder 41, moves in a vertical direction to the frame 55, and travels on the frame 55. On the side of the frame 55, a rack 35 is arranged through a rack base 30. A pinion 45 which is fitted in the rack 35, is arranged on the blanket cylinder 41 of the blanket unit 40. A printing plate inclined plane 56a which descends from the other part of the printing plate platen 56 and tilts, is formed at the end part of the printing plate platen 56.
