The invention relates to a device for medical and/or aesthetic use, capable of generating cavitation and intended for modifying biological tissues and/or membranes, that comprises a body including an ultrasound source, including at least one movement means that is self-adjustable based on the generated cavitation phenomenon. More precisely, the source is held free or mobile inside said body according to at least one freedom degree. Said at least one self-adjustable movement means consists of an axial translation means inside said device along the propagation axis of the mechanical waves, and includes at least one elastic means and/or at least one guide and/or at least one abutment.
