<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a package replacement support system which has high security, does not require a maintenance worker to have special skill, and allows the maintenance worker to easily perform the replacement operation of a package by a small number of man-hours. <P>SOLUTION: This package exchange support system is configured of a replacement support device for performing processing necessary for package replacement and a replacement instruction device in which processing items necessary for performing package replacement and processing sequences are written, and the replacement support device is configured to be electrically and freely connected to the replacement instruction device, and to read a procedure file in the connected replacement device, and to perform processing according to the procedure file, and the replacement instruction device is configured to read and store error information stored in the maintenance object device.
