<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device where not only optical interference between adjacent pixels is suppressed but also high density pixels are disposed, making the color of a device substrate pad less likely to be recognized. <P>SOLUTION: First to third pads are disposed on each of pixel regions E of the device substrate 2. A first pixel element 7 for emitting a red light in a conducting state is mounted on the first pad 3, and a second pixel element 8 for emitting a green light in a conducting state is mounted on the second pad 4. Furthermore, a third pixel element for emitting a blue light in a conducting state and forming the pixel, together with the first and second pixel elements 7, 8, is mounted on the third pad. A transparent sealing member 21 is disposed on the device substrate 2 to seal each of the pad and pixel element. A groove 22 is formed on the sealing member 21 to enclose each pixel element region E. A bottom end of the groove is set closer to a side of the device substrate 2 than to an edge of each pixel element, and a black pad cover member 25 is bonded to the sealing member 21 so as to cover a part of each pixel region E, and a light-passing hole 26 for allowing the light emitted by each pixel element to pass is made in the member 25. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
