PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique to shorten one frame period while securing pulse widths and pulse intervals. SOLUTION: The solid-state imaging device includes a group of pixels 1 which is formed by disposing a plurality of pixel cells in the form of a matrix, readout pulse supply circuits 2, 3 which supply readout pulse signals to make the pixel cells selected from the group of the pixel cells with one row as a unit read out pixel signals based on accumulated charges, electron shutter pulse supply circuits 4, 5 which supply electron shutter pulse signals to make the pixel cells selected from the group of the pixel cells with two or more prescribed rows as a unit sweep accumulated charges, and signal processing circuits 9, 10, 11, 12 which amplify the signal levels of the pixel cells read out from a plurality of the pixel cells respectively with gains made smaller as a charge accumulating period from the time when the electron shutter pulse signals are supplied until the time when the readout pulse signals are supplied becomes longer.
