PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately determine a failure of an electric circuit device. SOLUTION: It is determined whether a detected current value I is in a suitable range, taking into consideration the detected temperature T. Thus, an electronic component is apt to be affected by temperature and the current value is largely varied with the temperature. However, the failure is determined, taking into consideration the detected temperature T, so that the influence of the temperature during determining the failure can be reduced, and the failure of the electric circuit device can be determined accurately.
