PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floating substance removing apparatus capable of certainly separating and recovering lightweight matter such as a floating substance or the like contained in a liquid to be treated such as a cutting liquid or the like. SOLUTION: The floating substance removing apparatus 10 is equipped with a cyclone chamber 12 formed into a taper shape and a cyclone type container 11 having an inflow port 13, and a discharge port 14, and further equipped with the supply passage 15 connected to the inflow port 13, a floating substance recovery tank part 16, a floating substance introducing part, a flow acceleration part and a floating substance recovery port opened to the floating substance recovery tank part 16. The floating substance (f) in the liquid to be treated present on the upper side of the cyclone type container 11 is recovered in the floating substance recovery tank part 16.
