<p>A plasma display panel (1), which shows slow progress of degradation in an insulating material layer due to address discharging, has scanning sustain electrodes (Y) having a non-discharge region section (41) and a facing discharge region section (42). The non-discharge region section (41) is one part of a plurality of intersecting portions (40) overlapping with address electrodes (A) on the scanning sustain electrodes (Y), and overlaps with one of a plurality of vertical walls (24). The facing discharge region section (42) is another part of the intersecting portions (40), and does not overlap with the vertical walls (24). The facing discharge region section (42) is apart from a surface discharge gap section (45) forming a surface discharge gap (61) at the edge of the scanning sustain electrodes (Y).</p> |
