The subject of this invention are: yarn tensioning methods and yarn tensioning device in textile industry processes, as well as the yarn tensioning device's ferromagnetic armature, and use of the yarn tensioning device armature. In a number of textile industry processes, for instance in yarn winding, warping, twisting or joining, it is required to produce appropriate yarn tensioning, upon which the quality of yarn packing obtained is dependent, and finally the quality of textile products manufactured from such yarn. Solutions as per this invention will provide for obtaining a mean yarn tensioning value at some specific level, and will reduce its variable component.
