<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid injection head and a liquid injection apparatus which can prevent the breakage of a piezoelectric element. <P>SOLUTION: A lower electrode 60 in the area facing a pressure generation chamber 12 is formed with the width narrower than the width of the pressure generation chamber 12 with the top face and end surface of the lower electrode 60 in the area corresponding to the pressure generation chamber 12 covered with a piezoelectric element layer 70, and the end surface of the piezoelectric element layer 70 is a slope which inclines down toward the outside. In the area facing the pressure generation chamber 12, the top face and end surface of the piezoelectric element layer 70 are covered with an upper electrode 80, and the distance D1 between the top face of the lower electrode 60 and the top face of the piezoelectric element layer 70 and the distance D2 between the end surface of the lower electrode 60 and the end surface of the piezoelectric element layer 70 satisfies the relationship of D2≥D1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
