<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying device capable of efficiently correcting the skew of sheets and also provide an image forming device. <P>SOLUTION: A roll retreat device 70 comprises a cam 72, cam contact bearing 74 in contact with the cam 72, a gear 76 secured to the cam 72, a gear 78 meshed with the gear 76, a tooth lacking gear 80, a cylindrical member 82 secured to the tooth lacking gear 80 and the gear 78, a support part 84, and a drive gear 86 for transmitting a driving to the tooth lacking gear 80. A gate member 62 is so formed that the length in the direction vertical to the sheet feeding direction is longer than the width of the sheet S. Since the cam 72 is brought into contact with the cam contact bearing 74, a feeding roll 46 can retreat from a conveying belt 40 against a force to press the feeding roll 46 against the conveying belt 40 when the skew of the sheet S is corrected by the gate member 62. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
