<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnesium alloy sheet having excellent plastic workability and rigidity and to provide a magnesium alloy formed body having excellent rigidity. <P>SOLUTION: The sheet is composed of magnesium alloy, and hard particles are contained in a base material composed of magnesium alloy. When regions, each between the surface of the sheet and a position at a depth 40% of the thickness of the sheet in a thickness direction from the surface, are taken as surface regions and a remaining region is taken as a central region, the maximum diameter of the hard particles present in the central region ranges from >20 to <50μm and the maximum diameter of the hard particles present in the surface regions is≤20μm. Since the hard particles on both surface sides are fine, these particles hardly become starting points of cracks etc. at plastic working. Further, owing to the presence of the coarse particles in the central part, the rigidity of the sheet can be increased by these particles. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
