PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the penetration of stray light into an optical input/output means of an optical fiber or the like and to provide an optical device having an excellent reflection attenuation characteristic. SOLUTION: The optical device includes: a free space having a wall face 31 at least at a part thereof; one or more light emission means which emit a light beam toward the free space; and a reflection prevention means such as a terminal end waveguide 70 or the like which is provided at any part of the wall face 31 of the optical device having one or more light incident means through which the light beam arriving via the free space is made incident for preventing the unnecessary light 52 which illuminates the part from being reflected toward the free space.
