PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber or textile product having norovirus-deactivating performance, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The fiber or textile product having norovirus-deactivating performance is produced by depositing tannic acid and a crosslinking agent on a cellulosic fiber or cellulosic textile product followed by conducting a heat treatment and then soaping.
