PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a locking member for mold-in molding which is easily and steadily kept in the recessed part of a mold, which can excellently seal gaps of the width direction of the recessed part of the mold, and which can certainly prevent the inflow of a resin composition toward an engaging element. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of a locking member for mold-in molding is provided. A thermoplastic resin is melted extrusion from a nozzle. A substrate has continuous lines on the surface thereof in a lengthwise direction. A tape is formed having projections (4) for sealing which have, in the substrate lengthwise direction, continuous triangular or circular arc shaped cross-sections on both edges of the width direction of the surface. Cuts are provided in small gaps on the lines, and the tape is extended in the lengthwise direction, and a ferrite-containing layer is provided on the tape. A plurality of engaging elements (2) are provided on the substrate (1), the projections (4) for sealing are provided which have, in the substrate lengthwise direction, continuous triangular or circular arc shaped cross-sections on both edges of the width direction of the surface, and a ferrite-containing layer is provided on at least one surface of the substrate.
