PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: toner which can maintain the surface resistance and fluidity of the toner in a satisfactory state for a long period of time even if the toner is used in a high-speed image forming apparatus; a method for manufacturing the same; a two-component developer; a development apparatus; and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The toner is constituted by containing core particles containing at least a resin binder and a colorant, a covering resin, and an aluminum oxide-silicon dioxide-mixed oxide, and a cover layer formed on the surfaces of the core particles, in which the aluminum oxide-silicon dioxide-mixed oxide is immobilized to the cover layer by the covering resin, and at least part of the covering resin is adapted to be fused to the core particles.
