PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new magnesium alloy having excellent thermal conduction properties and mechanical properties by using the well-known magnesium alloy. SOLUTION: Disclosed is an Mg-Gd-Al-Zn based alloy obtained by adding 10 to 25 mass% Gd to 100 mass% of an alloy having a composition comprising 2.5 to 9.5 mass% Al and 0.1 to 3.3 mass% Zn, and the balance Mg.
