<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a generation source of leakage of a common rail fuel supply device for an internal combustion engine, particularly, for a diesel internal combustion engine of a ship. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel supply device includes a pump device including a high-pressure pump, an injector, and an accumulator system 22 normally under high pressure, having an accumulation unit. The accumulator system 22 is connected with the injector through a high-pressure fuel pipe 19 occasionally exposed to high pressure depending on injection timing. Leakage from connection areas among the high-pressure fuel pipe 19, the pump device, and the accumulator system 22, and the injector is discharged through a leakage system. Since a position of the leakage is determined without removing the high-pressure fuel pipe 19 under no pressure or without increase in pressure, the leakage from the high-pressure fuel pipe 19 and/or the connection area of the high-pressure fuel pipe 19 is guided by a leakage detection screw 17 cooperated with each high-pressure fuel pipe 19. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
