PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which attains the optimum display and operation form respectively when an accessory is attached and is not attached. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus comprises a camera body 100 and the accessory (radio LAN adapter 700 and auxiliary grip 800) attached to/detached from the camera body 100. The camera body 100 has a liquid crystal monitor 28 and a touch panel 33 functioning as a first operation means, and either the camera body 100 or the accessory has a second operation means (various buttons). The camera body 100 has a system controller 50 changing the functions of the first operation means and the second operation means and also changing the display form of the liquid crystal monitor 28 when the accessory is attached and is not attached.
