摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly correct the difference between two focal point detection results by a hybrid AF system. SOLUTION: The camera system includes: an imaging element 202 converting imaging light from a photographing optical system 101 imaging a luminous flux from an object into an electric signal; a first focal point detection part 204 detecting the focal position of the photographing optical system 101 by a phase difference detection system; a second focal point detection part 205 detecting the focal position of the photographing optical system 101 on the basis of a signal generated by the imaging element 202; a thin-film mirror 201 dividing the photographing luminous flux into a plurality of luminous fluxes and guiding the luminous fluxes to the first focal point detection part 204 and the second focal point detection part 205, respectively; a control part 206 substantially synchronizing the detection timings of the first focal point detection part 204 and the second focal point detection part 205; and a focal point detection correction part 207 correcting the results of the first focal point detection part 204 using the results of the second focal point detection part 205.
