PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw fastening machine for fastening a screw by controlling thrust applied to a driver bit. SOLUTION: The screw fastening machine is provided with a driver stand 6 moving up and down with a hoisting mechanism 2 operated by rotation of a hoisting motor 5, the driver bit 3a rotated by rotation of a motor 8 for fastening held on the driver stand 6, and a load detection part 7 for detecting a load applied to the driver bit 3a to control the thrust applied to the driver bit by controlling speed of the hoisting motor 5 based on a detected value of the load detection part 7. Accordingly the thrust applied to the driver bit 3a is detected so that the speed of the hoisting motor 5 can be controlled, and lowering speed of the driver bit 3a is controlled so that the thrust applied to the driver bit 3a can be set to any value. Further, even when a moss of the driver bit is changed, screw fastening work can be continued without changing the set thrust value. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
