The device i.e. injection module (2), has a fuel pump, a pressure controller, an injector and an air actuator, where the fuel pump, the injector and the air actuator are an integral component of the module and the controller is an integral component of the injector. The fuel pump has a piston and a pumping area, where the pumping area includes a volume with a gas-filled area and a fuel area with liquid fuel, where the gas-filled area is continuously present and transfers a damping function. The piston has a recess i.e. cylindrical hole, which receives the gas-filled area.
