The pin (1) has an open end (2) designed in the form of a funnel, and a closed end (3) designed in a chamfered or tapered manner. The pin is designed as a single-piece and is manufactured in a deep-drawing process with deform-technical units. Cross-sectional shape of the pin perpendicular to a longitudinal axis (5) is polygonal, round or oval. The pin is manufactured from raw material i.e. semi-finished material, which is one or both side nickel-plated and/or differently surface-treated. An upper part within a region of the open end in a longitudinal section includes a structure. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a hollow pin with an open end and closed end.
