IODINE COMPOUND PRODUCTION SYSTEM AND PRODUCTION PROCESS

<p>An iodine compound production system (100) which comprises: a raw-material preparation unit (1) in which a hydrogen-containing gas is supplied to at least either of liquid iodine in an iodine-melting tank (4) and gaseous iodine obtained by vaporizing the liquid iodine to thereby obtain a mixed gas; a hydrogen iodide generation unit (10) which includes a hydrogen iodide generation column (12) having a catalyst layer (12a) where the mixed gas introduced is converted to crude hydrogen iodide gas; a hydrogen iodide purification unit (20) in which the iodine remaining unreacted is removed from the crude hydrogen iodide gas introduced to thereby obtain hydrogen iodide gas; and an iodine compound generation unit (30) in which a target iodine compound is produced from the hydrogen iodide gas obtained and a starting material. Thus, a high-purity iodine compound can be easily and efficiently produced at low cost.</p>
