An apparatus for providing a gift based a web mail and a method thereof are provided to transmit a gift purchased on a web to a partner in the same image form by using a web mail. A transmitter terminal(110) accesses a gift providing site operating on a web. The transmitter terminal provides gift information to a partner through a web mail or receives the gift information. A receiver terminal(120) receives the gift information provided from the transmitter terminal through the web mail or provides the gift information to the transmitter terminal. A gift providing server(400) controls transceiving of gift information based on a web mail by associating with the transmitter terminal and the receiver terminal.
