A pluripotent recombinant gene for biosynthesis of beta-carotene containing an internal ribosome entry site is provided to produce transformed rice in which beta-carotene is accumulated. An internal ribosome entry site comprises a sequence of the sequence number 1(SEQ ID NO:1). A primer set for synthesizing the internal ribosome entry site comprises a sequence numbers 2, 3, 4, and 5. A pluripotent recombinant gene PIC for inducing biosynthesis of beta-carotine comprises sequences of the sequence numbers1 and 18. An expression vector pGEM-PIC comprises the pluripotent recombinant gene PIC for inducing biosynthesis of beta-carotine of the sequence number 18.
