<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve low-temperature startability and to optimize injection form in normal operation in a dual injection type internal combustion engine for FFV. <P>SOLUTION: The dual injection type internal combustion engine for FFV includes: an injector 11 for cylinder injection; and an injector 6 for intake passage injection, wherein alcohol and gasoline can be used as fuel. In starting, when the alcohol concentration of fuel is a predetermined concentration or higher, and also the engine temperature is a predetermined temperature or lower, fuel injection is performed only by the injector 11 for cylinder injection. Evaporation of fuel is accelerated by compression heat to improve mixing of fuel and air so that the low temperature startability is improved. In normal operation, when an engine is in a predetermined divided injection region, the fuel injection quantity sharing proportion of both injectors 11, 6 is corrected according to the alcohol concentration. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
