The retractor (1) has an annular oval sectioned skirt (2) whose inner edge is supported against upper and lower gums of a patient. Tabs (9) are immobilized between right and left upper and lower rows of teeth of the patient by occlusal stop. A shield (10) is extended adjacent to the inner edge of the annular skirt and is extended at a distance from the annular skirt. The shield isolates an inner volume (V2) of the annular skirt from a volume (V3) that is situated between the tabs. An independent claim is also included for a treating assembly for bleaching a dental enamel, comprising a lip retractor.
