This invention provides a process for producing an aluminum nitride joint product comprising aluminum nitride sinters joined to each other. The production process is characterized by comprising the step of disposing two aluminum nitride sinters having an alumina layer on their joining faces so that the joining faces face each other, interposing an alkaline earth metal compound-containing paste layer between the joining faces, and heating the assembly in this state at a temperature of 1300 to 1700‹C to join the aluminum nitride sinters to each other. ® KIPO & WIPO 2009
