<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner for two-component development and a developer using a black pigment which is safe and harmless to the environment and humans and has good charging performance in place of carbon black used in large quantities as a colorant in a toner for a two-component developing system, and to also provide a toner and a fixing method excellent in fixability and hot storage stability even if a fixing device using a thin low-surface-pressure roll is used. <P>SOLUTION: The toner for two-component development comprises at least a binder resin and a colorant, wherein the colorant is a black iron oxide compound containing a titanium component in an amount of 10-45 wt.% (expressed in terms of Ti atoms) based on the amount of Fe atoms in a wavelength-dispersive fluorescent X-ray method and a number average molecular weight Mn of the resin in the toner measured by GPC is within a range of 2,500-4,000. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
