PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxidation-resistant, carbon-fiber-reinforced carbon composite material which can be prevented from being oxidized under >=500 deg.C high temperature environmental conditions and has excellent oxidation resistance and durability and further, is applicable as a material of a product having a complicated shape, and also to provide a production process of this oxidation- resistant carbon composite material. SOLUTION: This production process for the oxidation-resistant carbon composite material comprises: immersing a carbon-fiber-reinforced carbon composite material 1 in a liquid suspension formed by dispersing the powder of a silicon boride (i.e., SiB4 or SiB6) 2 in an organic dispersion medium, to impregnate the carbon composite material 1 with the silicon boride 2 and to coat the surface of the carbon composite material 1 with an impregnation coating layer consisting of the silicon boride (i.e., SiB4 or SiB6) 2; and further, subjecting the resulting coated material to hot pressing, to dope the inside of the material with the silicon boride 2 and to produce the objective oxidation-resistant, carbon- fiber-reinforced carbon composite material. |
