<p>The compressor has a shroud (36) with upper and lower surface ramps (38, 40) joined upstream of a leading edge (28) of a blade to form a projection (42). A profile of the projection is twisted about a longitudinal axis of the shroud to force gas stream flowing in flow passages to flow around a blade root (16). The ramp (40) has a profile between the edge and a trailing edge (30) of the blade, and inclined relative to an outer surface of the shroud to deflect the gas stream flowing in the corresponding passage from an upper surface side of the blade to a lower surface side of an adjacent blade.</p> |
