A regulated charge pump circuit (100) comprising a charge pump (110) configured to generate a primary output signal (Vout) on receipt of a switching signal from a switching signal generating means (112,114), characterised in that the circuit (100) further comprises a comparison means (32) adapted to:
compare the primary output signal (Vout) with a reference value (Vref); and depending on the difference therebetween
produce a control signal (I,V) which is transmitted to the switching signal generating means (112,114) to modify a frequency of the switching signal.
