Drive device for a rail vehicle

The device (26) has a steel lamina coupler that is arranged between an electrical drive motor (14) and a gear (15). The coupler exhibits coupler components, and retaining units comprising motor retaining units provided for entire suspension holding of the drive motor. The retaining units held the drive device at a rail vehicle in a partial suspended manner. The gear is supported at the drive motor in a hinged manner via a gear fixing unit i.e. nose bearing, to reduce relative movement of the coupler components in coupler levels of the coupler.
