A measuring system and a measuring method using the same are provided to measure the length, the corrosion, and the defect of an embedded rod member at a field by contacting a plurality of vibration sensors with the side of the exposed part of the rod member in a line form or a spot form. A measuring system comprises a mounting unit(40), a vibration sensor(20), and a signal processing unit(30). The mounting unit is contacted with side of the exposed part of the rod member in a line shape or a spot shape. A part of the rod member is embedded in the longitudinal direction. The vibration sensor is fixed to mounting unit. The vibration sensor senses elastic wave generated due to impact to the rod member and outputs sensing signals. The signal processing unit measures the length or the physical states of the rod member based on the sensing signal of the vibration sensor.
