A steam generator and a cooking apparatus using the same are provided to improve energy efficiency by applying the heat of a heating element on the space between an outer container and an inner container and the lower part of a cooker. A steam generator(10) comprises an outer container(20), inner container(50), a cooker(80), a steam induction pipe(70), and a perforated plate(90). The outer container comprises an internal space(22). The inner container is compromised of a hub plate(52) and a connection pipe(56). The hub plate has an expanded space(54). The connection pipe is extended to the upper part from the hub plate. The connection pipe has a hollow(58) connected to the expanded space. The cooker has an internal space(82). The connection pipe of the inner container is contacted to the lower-part of the cooker. The circumference of the cooker is sealed tightly. The steam induction pipe is connected form the upper part of the outer container to the internal space. The steam induction pipe is extended to the internal space of the cooker. The perforated plate is coupled on the cooker.
