METHOD FOR SENDING STATUS INFORMATION IN MOBILE TELECOMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM AND RECEIVER OF MOBILE TELECOMMUNICATIONS

A method for transmitting status information in a wireless communication system and a receiving apparatus thereof are provided to operate the protocol stably regardless of the wireless condition. A receiving side RLC(Radio Link Control) entity produces a status PDU including the status information of data. The data is some of AMD(Acknowledged Mode Data) PDUs or AMD PDUs which a transmitting side RLC entity transmits. The receiving side RLC entity transmits the generated status PDU to the transmitting side RLC entity. The status PDU is generated in consideration of the available radio resource.
