<p>The method involves controlling temperature of two heater plugs in two regulating devices depending on an operating parameter of an internal combustion engine such that permanent optimal combustion characteristics of the internal combustion engine are provided. Emissions of the two regulating devices are connected to remaining heater plugs. An emission of the regulating device in an aligned heater plug is connected on all the remaining heater plugs. An independent claim is included for an engine control unit for an internal combustion engine.</p> |
